Established in 1959, Midland Radio Corporation has been on the forefront of two-way radio and weather radio technology.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Midland has led the way in supplying CB, FRS, GMRS, weather alert, and emergency radio technology.

With it’s strong reputation well-known amongst the off-road, agriculture, camping, RV, fish and hunt, ski and snowboard, business, and emergency preparation community, Midland provides Reliable Communication for Every Adventure.

Midland Radio is known as the first CB radio manufacturer in the United States. CB radios quickly became popular amongst farmers, truck drivers, and radio hobbyists. The CB radio craze would lead to the radio’s role in pop culture during the late 1970’s.

In the late 1990’s to early 2000’s Midland Radio would expand its product line with FRS and GMRS radios. Today, Midland offers over a dozen handheld radios, fit for any scenario.

In 2016, Midland Radio Corporation announced it’s MicroMobile® Two-Way Radio. This radio was designed for those who work and play in the outdoors. The high-powered radio offers up to 10 times the range as traditional handheld GMRS two-way radios. The MicroMobile® has changed the way off-roaders and farmers communicate in any terrain or element. The revolutionary radios led to Midland’s 2020 Communication Sponsorship of Jeep® Jamboree USA replacing decades usage of CB radio. JJUSA participants are now required to use a GMRS radio for trail communication enjoying increased range and voice clarity.

The company would also make its mark in the business world. Midland’s BizTalk® business line as we know it today came about in 2017. These radios have helped businesses like hotels, restaurants, retailers, distribution centers, contractors, and more get the job done safely and effectively.

Midland Radio products are sold in leading consumer electronics stores, sporting goods stores, specialty outdoor stores, and many other retailers nationwide. Midland also offers its products online on midlandusa.com, Amazon, and other leading e-commerce sites.

Midland Radio Corporation is the U.S. affiliate of an international group of companies spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. The companies are represented in countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Germany, The United Kingdom, Russia, Singapore, and more.
